Crescent Town is a diverse, Toronto neighbourhood located southeast of the Don River in the former borough of East York. Bordered by Dentonia Park Avenue to the north, Victoria Park Avenue to the east, Donora Park to the south and Dawes Road to the west. Crescent Town is located just minutes from the Upper Beach. This Toronto neighbourhood began as a farm where Walter Massey, the son of Canada’s first manufacturer Hart Massey, sold eggs, poultry and fresh trout. In 1969, the land was sold to developers who created a self-contained community.

Today, Crescent Town real estate consists mostly of high-rise apartments and condominiums that connect residents to gardens, restaurants, retail stores, schools and community centres by elevated pedestrian walkways. An internal walkway also connects to the adjacent Victoria Park Station, which provides speedy access to the downtown area. For additional shopping, Crescent Town residents can walk to the vibrant shopping areas on Danforth Avenue.

Known as Bangla Town because the large number of Bangladeshis and Bangladeshi-owned stores, Crescent Town is home to a large multicultural population. More than 28 percent of the 16,000 residents are recent immigrants from Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, China, Romania and other countries. While people of all ages live in this neighbourhood, the majority are between 30 and 55 years old. Less than 8 percent of the population is 18 years old or younger.

Both outdoor and indoor recreation opportunities make Crescent Town a great neighbourhood for both families and singles. Taylor Creek Park offers walking trails, picnic areas and wooded areas perfect for taking photos or watching birds while residents can walk to the 18-hole, par 3 Dentonia Park Golf Course on Victoria Park Avenue. The Crescent Town Club has a full-size gymnasium, swimming pool, indoor track and handball, racquetball and squash courts

Crescent Town real estate consists mainly of high-rise condominiums and townhouses.
